The people of Olifantsfontein, Tembisa and the surrounding areas have put their weight behind The Olifants. Some referring to it as “our newspaper”. This follows a number of articles that have brought about change to the neighborhood.
The Olifants is a community newspaper gets distributed fortnightly to the residents
of Clayville, Olifantsfontein, Winnie Mandela Park, Tshwelopele, Kaalfontein, Ivory,
Ebony and Thembisa North. The Olifants copies are distributed physically to 20,000
households and businesses every first and the second week of the month. The
newspaper also targets the Olifantsfontein industrial area, local small business owners,
government offices, the train station, bus shelters and taxi ranks. The Olifants publishes
easy-to-follow articles which aim to educate, inform and entertain.
